I was thinking that the East Coast earthquake originated in Virginia, the epicenter of American democratic leadership, surrounded by the homes of Washington, Jefferson and Madison. The shaker cleared out the buildings in the district basically shutting down the government for the day. The next thing we hear is that a crack has been discovered in the Washington monument. Perhaps the founding fathers are so fed up with what is going on in Washington they have decided to send a message. Or they are spinning so fast in their graves, the vibes have unleashed a tremor?
